Is using VR and AI the future of practical assessment? In an ever-changing ecosystem of educational assessment, the need for new ways of delivering practical assessment grows. Using technology we are able to break down many barriers to delivering world-class practical assessment and deliver at scale without the logistical and financial constraints of delivering in-person. In this session, we will deliver a live demo of the virtual reality practical assessment and show how these can be delivered at scale and how AI can then harness this information to populate against assessment criteria.

The aims of this session are:
-To understand the challenges currently faced in delivering practical in-person assessment
-Give insights in how VR and AI technology can play a part in delivering practical assessments at scale
-Understand the concerns around the use of technology in practical assessment and discuss ways in which these can be alleviated
-Show a real use case for VR and AI in practical assessment

In summary, the way we use technology for practical will be adopted. There will be challenges and concerns but there are many ways in which we can address these. This session is a chance to see, in real terms, what the opportunities are and how harnessing technology we can deliver high-level, true-to-life assessment without the constraints of in-person practical assessment.
